The Circle and The Conversation

Once upon a time, a long, long time ago, communities gathered around campfires and told stories, sang songs and communicated about all that touched their lives.

Most of us long for communication that has more depth. We long to tap into each other’s hearts and minds. Today’s shortened messages don’t feel complete, and we often don’t know how to get back to the place where we can spend time sharing our ideas and concerns too.

I created Global Women Story Circle (GWSC) to be “a unique sanctuary for conversations that matter” for women around the world. In spite of our technology and the speed with which it operates, we still miss the ability to commune with our tribe in more meaningful ways.

And, our tribe has grown so much larger now. More and more of us envision ourselves as global citizens. We welcome the opportunity to connect with the voices of women whose stories, ideas and wisdom can impact our own – and we want to make a difference in their lives too, regardless of the distance between us.

Our campfire has expanded, and we now have the capacity to share the story of our day and the journeys of our lives with one another in far and distant places as well.

We are thrilled to invite you to join us for an exciting global event — the launch of GWSC!

My sisters, Kat and Shirley and I will be attending the 10th Annual Women’s Leadership & Empowerment Conference in Bangkok, Thailand and invite you to also join international women from around the world March 2, (EST) any time between 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. which will be March 3rd, (GMT+7) 6:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. in Bangkok. Let’s spend a little time together exploring ways in which we can interact in meaningful ways.

Together we will continue the traditions of ancient times, we will converse, laugh, solve problems, ask questions and seek solutions. Together, let’s keep the campfire lit around the world. Together, we can and will transform our world.
